For the past 14 years, Anna Dey has dedicated herself almost entirely to one thing – franchising.
Anna graduated from the Honor’s Program at The University of Toledo in 2010 after winning the prestigious Overall Student Pacemaker Award for the College of Business. After only two years in corporate America, she realized she’d rather bet on herself and never looked back.

Anna opened her first business at the age of 25. She started as the Owner-Operator of one concept, ultimately growing to become a multi-unit, multi-concept franchisee. At her height, Anna owned or partnered on 12 brick-and-mortar concepts representing 6 separate franchise systems. She became an award-winning franchisee in the Anytime Fitness, Clean Eatz, and Smoothie King systems, including accolades like Overall Franchise of the Year, Community Outreach Club of the Year, Training Team of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Club Platinum, The Founders Award, Kings Club, and Regional Franchise of the Year. Over half of her units have performed in the top 15% of their respective systems, and she was selected as the new-franchisee training store in two of her franchise systems.
Always believing that a strong exit strategy is as important as a market entry strategy, Anna has since successfully sold many units in her portfolio, but remains a multi-unit, multi-brand franchisee.
Often finding herself organically helping others on their path to entrepreneurship, Anna identified how fulfilling she found the process of doing so to be. And so, the franSPOT was born. Anna is now proud to utilize her unparalleled business acumen in the franchise industry, as well as her passion for helping others, in her role as a Franchise Consultant.
Since starting the franSPOT, Anna has been a Top 3 Consultant in her network, FranChoice, three separate times. She also won a “Top Producer” award, indicating that she truly excels in finding the right fits for the candidates she works with.
More About Anna
In her time away from work, Anna serves in a volunteer capacity as the Director of her 501(c)(3) charity, The 24 in 24, which has raised over $3.1 million for children battling life-threatening illnesses. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, who doubles as her graphic designer and business partner, and their two rescued pit bulls, Roo and Tootsie.
